Chess

Last year the children of 5th and 6th class entered the E.S.B. checkmate competition. we played Gaelscoil an Teaghlach Naofa but lost to a more experienced team!

We also entered the Evening Echo chess competition. we played against three schools. The children really enjoyed the games. We'll be back later this year to enter both competitions!

A    tournament within the school went on for a few weeks and generated great interest among the children of 4th, 5th and 6th class.
