Ovens girls' football team have reached the Sciath na Scol final again this year, with good wins over Brooklodge, Youghal and Ballinora. Our boys' football team have reached a play off for their final having beaten Midleton, Bandon and Christians and drawn with Scoil Iosagáin.
Ovens boys and girls completed a fantastic DOUBLE DOUBLE by adding the Sciath na Scoil Camogie and Hurling titles to the two footballtitles they won last October. Well done to all involved. We would like to thank all the parents and the local Éire Óg GAA Club for their support throughout the year.

Ovens N.S. 4 - 3 : Christians B.C. 3 - 1
Ovens N.S. boys had a fantastic win over C.B.C. in terrible conditions in Páirc Uí Rinn. Both teams served up some excellent hurling in torrential rain and driving winds. Despite goals from James Murray and Owen McDonagh as well as a Gary O'Flynn point, Ovens went in at half time trailing by 3 - 1 to 2 - 1. Ovens were assisted by a strong wind in the second half but it took a great solo run and goal by man of the match Gary O'Flynn to unlock a stubborn Christians' defence. O'Flynn added two points and McDonagh got a second goal to seal the victory for Ovens.
