Charities

Ár mbuíochas leis na daltaí, na múinteoirí agus na tuismitheoirí don tacaíocht go léir i mbliana. We have run two charity events  so far this year:

·          Our “Rainbow Day “ raised                                                    255 for the UNICEF East Africa Emergency Fund and

·          Our “Games Playing Day” raised  475 for the HOPE Foundation charity.

Go raibh mile maith agaibh.

Sports

Well done to the girls’ football team for reaching the Division 1 final of Sciath na Scol this year. They won eight out of nine games this year and , even though they didn’t win the final, this is a magnificent achievement. Our boys had a very good campaign as well, winning four and drawing one of  their seven games, to finish third in their group and just miss out on qualification for the final. Brighid O’Grady, Kieran O’Sullivan, Ber Lucey and Eoghan Hyde coached these teams, organized the games etc and our thanks to them. Thanks also to the parents who supported us, gave us lifts, paid towards buses and washed jerseys. Thanks to the Éire Óg Club for their facilities and to the Parents’ Association who gave us money to help cover the costs. Finally, thank you, to the Éire Óg Ladies club for paying for the team meal after the final and to the Desmond family for providing it.
