Once again the older boys and girls trained hard at
lunchtimes and after school in order to be ready to compete in the
Sciath na Scol Football Competition.
They were decked out in the brand new, specially – designed
Ovens Jersey. We are very
grateful to the Parents Association (who commissioned Mr. Robert Burns
to organise and supply us with these fine jerseys) and the teams looked
really well representing their school on playing itches all over Cork
City & environs. The
girls were in the top group and did us
proud against Scoil Oilibhéir, Scoil Barra, Scoil Eoin
Innishannon, Scoil na nÓg & St. Columbas.
