Ovens National School runs a very sucessful "Savings Scheme" in conjunction with Ballincollig Credit Union. There are up to one hundred and fifty children joined through the school and they get an opportunity to save each Thursday in school. 

Credit Union Table Quiz

This year we entered a Credit Union Quiz, which took place in the Rochestown Park Hotel. There were many teams competing. We represented Ballincollig Credit Union. We take part in the Credit Union Savings Scheme. There were four people on each team. On one of the teams from sixth class were: Michelle, Alanna , Jordan and Adrian. On the other team from sixth class was: Iseult, Laurie, Cassie and Gary.  On one of the teams from fifth class were: Elaine, Scott, Niall and Donnacha.  On the other fifth class team was: Daniel, Aisling, Aonghus and John.  Our school did brilliantly but unfortunately we did not win.  In the end a school from Clonakilty won.
