Fifth Class News!

Welcome to the Fifth Class Webpage.

This year, as usual, fifth class have been very busy,
 both inside and outside the classroom.

5^th class came 4^th (very highly commended), in Feis Maitiu.

Three teams took part in the credit union quiz and did very well.

We have a team going through to the final of the spellathon on March 16^th.
They are Roy Stam, Fionnuala O Toole, Vincent Coffey and Ashling Glesson.

5^th class raised 206 €uro for the Tsunami appeal when they  held an ‘Éadai Faisean’
and a talent show in class.

5^th class has been practicing writing letters and as an exercise they have
written to famous people they admire.
Gary O’Callaghan received a reply letter this morning from Alex Ferguson.

5^th class girls took part in an indoor camogie blitz and did very well to come in 2nd place.

All the class are in the process of writing stories which they are going to turn into a book.
The stories are aimed at 2^nd class and will include illustrations.

Danny O’ Regan did an excellent project on sharks and gave a
presentation to the class on Friday. He also made a book called ‘Attack’,
which is now available in the 5^th class Library.
