Eimear and Dylan write a report on our first school matches:
Ovens Girls' Sciath na Scol 07-08
The first match of the girls in red and yellow beat Innishannon .They had a
great start - two points in the
first five minutes. After a while Innishannon scored their first goal and
were up by a point. Ovens wouldn’t stop fighting until they got more
points. Finally the strong Ovens girls beat Innishannon 7-7 to3-1.

Boys' Sciath na Scol 07-08
Ovens not off to a good start with a loss to scoil Oliver.1-3 to Ovens with
scores from Ronan O’Toole (1 goal) and a point from Jack. All the forwards
set up great scoring chances. The midfield line of Donncha and Ronan did
very well with their catching in the air. The back line did very well also,
protecting the keeper from any dangers. But we have harder teams to play
yet. Hopefully we might win those matches. They played well against a top
group team. Well done lads!!!!
