A Message from the Principal

Ovens National School has been at the centre of education for the people of this parish for many years. Our current school opened in 1987 and we are very proud of it. The main subjects taught in Ovens National School are; Gaeilge, English, Maths, Science, Drama, I.T. Skills, Social Personal and Health Education, Visual Arts, Music, P.E., Religion, History and Geography.

Tá ana shuim ag an bhfoireann scoile go léir Gaeilge a chur chun cinn mar gnáth modh cumarsáide sa scoil agus déanaimid gach iarracht é sin a dhéanamh gach lá.

We realise that Education and learning are lifelong pursuits and take place wherever the child may  be. With this in mind we encourage a positive relationship with the children’s parents/ guardians at all times. Ovens N.S. is also aware of the individuality of each child and that is welcomed, especially for children with special educational needs.
