| A
report written by Michael O’Shea
(sixth class):
On
the 7th of June we had a pottery class in the hall. The
pottery teacher’s name was Margaret. First we made a bowl out of clay
and various pieces of fruit, vegetables and loads of other types of food
out of clay.
When we had finished making food we had a go of the pottery wheel. On
the pottery wheel we each got a wet piece of clay. We shaped the wet
piece of clay into a vase.
Some people had strangely shaped vases like Oisin, he made his with
loads of curves. I made mine pretty straightforward and it turned out
all right. Our teacher also had a go, she made a mess of it first but it
turned out good the second time.
The pottery was great fun and was well worth the two Euro we paid for
it.
