Our Camogie team trains indoors during lunchtime from December to February and on the outdoor pitch in the local GAA club from March to June. (For any overseas visitors, camogie is a game played by girls with a hurley - a stick made from ash similar to a hockey stick - and a sliotar - a small tennis sized ball - on a pitch similar to a rugby pitch.) Some matches are played at home on Éire Óg GAA pitch while others are played further afield. We love when we all travel to a different venue but it is also nice to play on our home territory!
