Pottery Workshop
Margaret Lucas of Farnanes Pottery came to the school for 3 days after Easter. Each class in the school did a workshop with her. Margaret brings all her own equipment and sets it up in the school hall. It is a brilliant opportunity for the children to work with clay and the potters wheel. Margaret prepares each workshop to suit the needs of the children. They have a chance to work on the wheel and to make a piece of pottery under Margaretís expert guidance. by Matthew Brennan

Margaret Lucas is a potter. She came to the school to teach us how to make something out of clay.  We did a sea bed. When we finished the sea bed we had to turn it upside down which is called the upside down test. We thought it was excellent.

Margaret Lucas came to the school to teach us how to make pottery. We had a go at the wheel. We made a bowl. Ms Lucas started us off by shaping it. Then we ended it by making the inside. It was very good fun.
