Senior Infants

Welcome to the Senior Infants Webpage! As there are two classes of Senior Infants
in the school we have two separate reports for you below!

Mrs. Murphy’s Senior Infants.

There are 21 children in the class, 13 boys and 8 girls. The average age is 6-7. They are enjoying their new class and also recent events. On the 26th of September 2007 the coin day for People in Need took place. Also the RTE came to the school to film us. It was a very enjoyable day and even earned us homework off!

Every Monday and Friday morning children from 6th class come to help out in seniors. We help with art and various other things and are glad to see that it is enjoyed by both classes.

Mrs O'Rourke's Senior Infants.

There are 22 in the class, 9 girls and 13 boys. They love singing and are  very good at it.  They sing ‘Buail an Doras’ and ‘Little Miss Muffet’.

They love listening to their teacher read to them. Their favourite books are ‘Pig in a Wig’, ‘The Tiny Seed’ and ‘Owl Babies’.  They play tennis with Alan and Conor (the tennis coaches) on Wednesday. 8 of them go Irish dancing on Tuesday with Ms. Foley. They just love it! Their breaks are at 11:00 - 11:15 and 1:00 - 1:30 .

At break they love to play chase, Hide ‘n’ Seek, soccer and skipping. They go home at 2:00 .
