| The
bus arrived precisely at
ten o’clock
. We travelled on
the same bus as the Gaelscoil in Ballincollig. The event began at
eleven o’clock
. There were two
categories and we were in the older category. When we up to say our
poems none of us were nervous. So we said our poems and got off the
stage. After another two groups there was a break for about ten
minutes. We were nervous when they started calling out the results.
We won! We all cheered and we were all excited. Jack McCarthy and
Ali Hayes went up to get the prize. We went back to school
afterwards. We were the first class in Ovens to win the event.
