Eurochild 2007, a book of poetry which is published by Tig Fili, in Cork was launched on November 23rd, 2007.  Included in this publication are  the poems and artwork  of some of the pupils from Ovens National school who were in 6th class during 2006-2007. Among those who had poems or drawings published and who were invited to the launch were:

Eurochild  is now in its 12th year and features  poetry and artwork  from 23 countries in Europe.  According to Emily Logan, Ombudsman for Children , Ireland “Here we have a collection of poetry and art, the voices of children and young people across Europe”

The anthology is well worth a read and is available in Tig Fili and  Easons Bookshops.
