Well done to our boys’ and girls’ teams on winning their
respective sciath na scol competitions in Páirc Uí Chaoimh
recently. Preparation began on September 2nd with training and
practice games before beginning the competition. Both teams
played four games in the league section before qualifying for
semi finals, which they won. The finals were held on November
12th and our boys beat Ballygarvan by 3-5 to 1-2 with a
wonderful, spirited display before the girls repeated the
gaisce with a brilliant 3-7 to 0-2 victory over Gaelscoil
Carrigaline. Thanks to parents and the Éire Óg club for
their support throughout the campaign and to the Éire Óg
men’s and ladies’ club for providing food and drinks
afterwards in Desmond’s Restaurant. Buíochas comh maith
leis na múinteoirí go léir agus Charlie a chuir an obair go
léir isteach i ranganna corpoideachais tríd na blianta agus
don lucht tacaíochta go léir a tháinig ar an lá mhór.
Maith sibh go léir.
